Packaging - Lucinda Candles

Lucinda is a self-initiated project exploring label design for small cylindrical packaging surfaces.

The primary focus was to develop a vintage-inspired identity while maintaining clarity and readability on a curved format. Designing for a cylindrical object introduces spatial distortion and limited frontal viewing area, requiring careful control of typographic hierarchy and illustration density.

The challenge was to prevent visual clutter, a common risk in vintage aesthetics, by reducing decorative elements to a structured system. The illustrated brand mark and typographic layout were intentionally restrained to ensure legibility from multiple viewing angles.

Secondarily, the project explored how subtle detailing and cohesive branding can elevate a candle from a decorative item to a more collectible, meaningful object.

The result is a minimal yet character-driven identity that balances narrative expression with functional clarity.
